Founded in 1880 by Lewis C. Norton, Norton Door Closer Company began manufacturing and
marketing the first practical commercial door closers. Though cumbersome, his first door closers
were effective devices which permitted the adjustment of the door's sweep speed.

center to center spacing ( example 3/4" x 9-1/16") and call us @ 1-800-642-2403.
Or remove the cover of your Norton Door Closers and seach for the number under the
Cover or remove the Norton Door Closer from the door and the number may be on the
back (20-1624-4001).   Norton Door Closer used to be owned by Scoville and Eaton, so
they may be marked with these names also.

    If your Norton or Yale PowerTrack Door Closer is not holding the door open, this is usually the problem. To trouble shoot, first make sure you have voltage going to the solenoid. If you have voltage going in, and the door is still closing, then your solenoid is burned out. The solenoid is under constant voltage, so they do not last forever. The assembly measures 6-1/2" long by 1-1/8" wide with a height of 3/4". We sometime find the number F98024SH.1315 24 VDC on the solenoid.
