I would highly recommend the Lifetime Brass if these plates are going to be mounted outside. Solid brass is soft, and tends to dent easily and the clear coat can be compromised. The Lifetime Brass plates do not require a clear and will last a lot, lot longer!

Anodized Gold Aluminum Kick Plate
Aluminum base material is then anodized to a polished brass finish. These plates are a great alternative to the Solid Polished Brass and Lifetime Brass kick plates. Custom sizes are available, they run about $0.24 per square inch or less.

Brushed Bronze Kick Plate US10 (Bronze), also know as 612
Solid bronze plate with in a brushed finish, and is then clear coated.
16 Ga (.050") Thick

This finish was really popular in the 1940 thru the early 1970's. It is an orangish hue brass color. Same appearance as Dull Bronze on finished color chart.
