The Adams Rite 8600EL Electric latch Retraction Concealed Vertical Rod is designed for narrow stile aluminum framed glass doors. The device will fit on stile widths of 2" or more. The EL version We recommend this device for replacement or upgrading your current 8600 to Latch Retraction, modifying your existing door to this exit device will be labor intensive. The 8611EL would be for the aluminum finish and the 8622EL would be or the dark bronze finish.

Adams Rite old Style end cap for the 8300 and 8600, with dogging in the head. Plastic Cap measures 2-5/16" high x 1-1/16" wide with a 1-1/4" projection.
Adams Rite New Style end cap for the 8700 and 8800. The black cap measures 2-3/8" high x 1-1/2" wide x 1-1/4" projection. We some times find the number 25-0674-01 cast in the black plastic.
The Adams Rite EL8600 Solenoid 31-0833-IP is used on their Concealed Vertical Rod. It uses 28 VDC. If your Solenoid is Red or White, then you would need the EL8800 Solenoid.
The Adams Rite EL8800 Solenoid is the mechanism that retracts, or in this case turns the wheel to unlock the panic device. There are two versions one for 12 volt systems 31-0735-IP, and the 24 volt system 31-0736-IP. The 12 Volt Solenoid is wrapped in red tape, the 24 volt is wrapped in white tape.
