This is the Sargent Standard Bottom Strike for there Surface Vertical Rod Devices. Strike measures 9/16" x 2-1/2" with a 3/8" projection. Strike features a black coated epoxy.
The 3828 is a rugged exit device in a rim design. The 3828 Non Configured Rim Exit Device has 7 functions, 4 available trims and is easy to mix and match the device and trim. Aluminum finish only.
This part is the weak link in this exit device. When the end cap falls off the Dogging Cover Plate falls out also! The end cap is 1-1/8" wide by 2-7/16" tall and projects out 1-7/8".
