Founded in 1880 by Lewis C. Norton, Norton Door Closer Company began manufacturing and
marketing the first practical commercial door closers. Though cumbersome, his first door closers
were effective devices which permitted the adjustment of the door's sweep speed.

Norton 8501 Door Closer
Norton 8501 Door Closer, also known as the Norton 8501 Omni Door Closer, or 8501BF Door Closer.
We sometimes find 3301/3501 and 8301/8501 on the inside of the cover, along with the suffix BF (barrier free).- Adjustable spring sizes 1 thru 6

Norton 78 B/D Traditional Door Closer
The NortonSeries 78-B/F Traditional Surface Closers represent a combination of traditional styling and modern closer features. All closer sizes are contained within a single size aluminum alloy shell. Templates for installing this closer are the same for all closer sizes.

Norton / Yale Door Closer Hold Open Arm
Replacement arm works with the Norton 1600, 9300, 7500, and 8000 series, along with the Yale 50, 2300, 3000 and 4400 friction hold open arms closers. Norton and Yale use the same arm for there Friction Hold Open arms.
