Founded in 1880 by Lewis C. Norton, Norton Door Closer Company began manufacturing and
marketing the first practical commercial door closers. Though cumbersome, his first door closers
were effective devices which permitted the adjustment of the door's sweep speed.

back (20-1624-4001).   Norton Door Closer used to be owned by Scoville and Eaton, so
they may be marked with these names also.

    Norton / Yale Door Closer Arm Shoe Assembly

    Replacement Shoe Assembly for Norton 1600, 9300, 7500 and 8000 series door closers. And Yale 50, 2300, 8000 and 4400 series.
    Base measures 11/16" x 2-1/4" with 1-3/4" center to center screw hole mounting. Bracket projects out 15/16". The pin is 3/8" diameter.
