The redesigned shape and smaller size of the EAX-500 makes it the ideal choice for quick and easy installations on emergency exit and restricted doors.

Detex EAX-500W Weatherized Door Exit Alarm

The Detex EAX-500W Series is designed for applications requiring a battery-powered alarm on secured doors. The alarm, with approximately 100dB, will sound when an unauthorized exit occurs. The redesigned shape and smaller size of the EAX-500W makes it the ideal choice for quick and easy installations on emergency exit and restricted doors.  The Weatherized version of the EAX-500 is designed for out swinging doors that may get wet, or damp environments.

Detex EAX-300 Door Prop Alarm

The Detex EAX-300 Series is designed for applications where doors may be used for egress or ingress, but may not be held or propped open. Door open times from 1 second to 4 minutes (15 second default) are field selectable. The smaller size makes installation quick and easy.

Detex EAX-300 Installation Instructions

Standard duty 2-1/4" knob is factory pinned to swivel spindle
to 1-3/4" door. Spindle has two 3/8" centers. Inside knob has
two case hardened set screws and spindle is threaded 3/8-18

3-1/2" straight spindle thread is 18 tpi. 2-1/4" knob

2-1/4" knob pinned to a straight spindle. The inside knob is attached with two case hardened set screws. 3/8-18 tread on knob and spindle.

These hinges are no longer handed, you can select right or left, but the hinges will work both ways.

The reinforcing pivot hinge is a good way to solve door sag issues. And also be a preventative solutions for future isses with extra heavy or wide doors. The hinges comes in two sizes 4 or 4.5 inches, and two finishes, prime coat and satin chrome. The hinge uses a heavy duty ball-bearing to add extra life.  The base metal is steel.
