Another use for them is as a door floor lock if mounted on the other side of the door. Once kicked down there's no entry possible unless you slide a flat item under the door to lift the door holder leg out of the way and push the door open. It can be opened from the inside as normal with your foot or hand. A very inexpensive security lock.

Cal Royal 7000 Alarmed Exit Device

Same as the Cal Royal 7700, but with these added features"

Alarm unit has internal horn. When the push rail is depressed, the horn sounds to provide an audible means of signaling that the door has been opened and violated. The unit has changeable 2 minute alarm cutoff or manual reset. Preset at factory for 2 minute alarm cut off. The key switch to turn alarm off is a standard 1 ¼” cylinder with “C” keyway. The alarm operates on one standard 9 volt transistor battery. When battery is weak the horn will emit an intermittent signal. Alarmed units are supplied with a switch that monitors push rail only. Unit includes “EMERGENCY EXIT ONLY • ALARM WILL SOUND” decal for application on door or unit.

The Detex ECL-230X Panic Device is a single point deadbolt device. One size fits 36 to 48 inch doors. The dead bolt has a 1 inch throw and is saw resistant. Locking and unlocking dead bolt always arms and disarms alarm.  The alarm is 100 decibels and is powered by a 9 volt battery. Email for more information.

One of the biggest problems with rubber chair tips is the metal leg punching through the rubber feet. This happens because the metal chair legs are sharp and blunt. By installing a chair tube cap first, the rubber chair leg has more of a surface area to displace the weight.

Krueger Swivel Glide for 7/16" Inside Diameter and 5/8" Outside Diameter Metal Tubing Leg

This plastic swivel glide is not longer made, but you can use the SGR62AN or SGR62I as a replacement. The SGR62AN will work, but not if you are stacking your chairs. The SGR62I ( the last letter is I, as in Island) is the one you want to use if you stack your chairs for storage. See the "Related Products" on the right hand margin of the page.
