Swivel Glide 9/16" O.D. X 7/16" I.D. W Ferrule-Nylon Base. Measurements are for the chair leg. Heywood Wakefield replacement chair feet with nylon base. Base is 1 1/4" in diameter. Metal base glides are very popular in schools and institutions and move easily across smooth or carpeted floors.  Metal base glides are nickel plated and are extremely durable, but when they do wear out, they will scratch the floor.  The glide freely swivels beyond 30 degree angle. Reinforced Rubber Crutch Tips For 1" Outside Diameter Round Legs. One of the biggest problems with rubber crutch chair tips is the metal leg punching through the rubber feet. This happens because the metal chair legs are sharp and blunt. By installing a chair tube cap first, the rubber chair leg has more of a surface area to displace the weight.
