For example, the 7520R Service Weight Smooth Rubber Treads Square Nose and the 7520R Service Weight Smooth Rubber Treads Round Nose are from the same series and feature a smooth rubber surface. They are designed for interior use, ⅛ inch thick along the depth of the treads with a 1-9/16 inch dropdown nose. Square nose rubber stair treads deliver a clean, modern edge and work well in high-traffic commercial spaces. Round nose rubber stair treads provide a more traditional profile and can help soften the look of the staircase while still improving traction.
Choose from smooth or grit strip surfaces depending on the grip level you need. While the square nose is available with grit stripped versions—the 220 or the 2520—the round nose is not. The 220 comes with two ¾ inch grit strips, while the 2520 comes with one 2 inch wide strip as the visually impaired version.
Various colors and sizes are available with both the smooth and grit strip versions. Many of the options are available in popular colors like black, gray, and brown, so it is easy to match existing flooring or meet facility guidelines.
We also offer GS920R One-Piece Tread and Riser with Grit Stripping which features a 3/16 inch thick nose. The nose is adjustable and tapers to 5-16 inch at the back. These rubber stair treads do not have a groove at the back of the step collecting debris, which makes for easier cleaning. They are available in various colors, sizes, and two grit stripping options: the visual impaired 1-2 inch wide or 2-¾ inch wide grit tape strips. They are built for interior use for a finished, uniform appearance from top to bottom.

Residential Applications
Use the 800 Rubber Stair Treads, 901 Rubber Stair Treads, 1000 Curved Nose Rubber Stair Treads, and 1000 Square Nose Rubber Stair Treads for residential settings. (For residential and light commercial you might want to look at the vinyl stair treads, which cost quite a bit less).
Commercial Applications
Any model of the rubber stair treads will work depending on your nose. If you have a round nose, you will want to look at the 1000 Curved Nose Rubber Stair Treads and the 622 Curved Nose Rubber Stair Treads.
Exterior Application
For outdoor applications, we recommend using the 630D Outdoor Rubber Stair Tread, the only one we recommend for exterior applications. This rubber stair tread is 12-1/16 inches deep with the last 3 inches being smooth for trimming in the field. It is only available in black and is ideal for sports arenas, ice rinks, and other high traffic areas.
The shipped treads are usually about ⅜ inch or more wide than advertised. So a 36-inch tread will actually be about 36-⅜ inches wide, so you can fit them in the field.
